Beverly Bowes-Hackney - Director of Tennis Beverly’s experience includes Division I NCAA Head Coach at SMU, Assistant Coach of the University of Texas, the Director of Women’s Tennis at Circle C, and a USTA National Junior Development Coach. She also has over 1000 hours of providing personal lessons to both adults and juniors, there is no doubting the substantial teaching and coaching experience that Beverly is bringing to River Place Country Club. Beverly is also an accomplished player, having earned a Top 50 World Ranking on the WTA Tour, was a Five-Time All-American at the University of Texas and in 2000 Beverly was inducted into the University of Texas Women’s Hall of Honor. |

Carlos Crusco - Event & Program Coordinator Carlos is a graduate of the University of Texas and holds a Masters Degree in Sports Management & Marketing. The knowledge and experience Carlos brings to the River Place team make a significant difference - both on and off the court. While directing the Club’s active junior program, Carlos also organizes and implements the tennis departments’ special events, including the annual River Place Pro-Am. Since joining the River Place team, he has been instrumental in creating numerous programs and tournaments – benefiting members as well as local charities. In his down time, Carlos enjoys cooking as personal chef – and reading about wine and food. He loves to travel and he enjoys snow skiing, soccer and water polo. |

Tyson is a former member of the Arizona State University(Div. 1,PAC-10) tennis team from 1991-1992 and taught for 12 years in the Scottsdale area. Before moving here to Austin, Tyson taught at The Columbia Athletic Club in the Seattle area. Tyson is no stranger though to Texas as he grew up playing junior tennis in the Houston area. After leaving almost 20 years ago, Tyson was ready to get back to Texas and we are pleased to have him take an active role in every facet of our tennis program. This will include teaching both juniors and adults, assisting in promotion/organization of events, as well as helping to provide better customer service in the tennis shop. |
